American Airlines Flyby
![]() ![]() American Airlines salutes the United States Military and is a proud sponsor of the 2007 McDonald’s Air & Sea Show, National Salute to America's Heroes. American Airlines flew as part of the Civil Reserve Air Fleet, flying 209 missions for our troops using Boeing 767 and 777 aircraft. We continue to fly military charters today in the United States. Several hundred American Airlines employees serve with our Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Reserve/Guard units on active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. American provides affordable airfares for our military. Special discount AA Rest & Relaxation fares are available for members of the U.S. military returning home from duty in Iraq for a well-deserved rest. These fares are available from U.S. gateways to cities throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands on American, American Eagle and American Connection. American has opened its Admiral Clubs in cities that do not have USO facilities to the men and women on active duty with our armed forces, so that they can relax in a friendly and comfortable place during their travels. American is committed to South Florida. Together with our regional affiliate, American Eagle, American already offers the most choice in flights and destinations in and out of Miami, with more than 250 flights a day to more than 90 destinations throughout the U.S. and around the world. We continue to expand our Miami hub by adding flights every year. In the past two months we inaugurated service from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico and to Northwest Arkansas. From Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport American together with our regional affiliate, American Eagle has 19 flights to seven destinations. And, from Palm Beach International we fly six flights to three destinations. Thus, in South Florida, no other carrier offers more flights to more destinations. By providing a range of convenience that only a global airline can offer, and by adding to it access to great airfares, we are giving the traveling public even more reasons to select South Florida as the place to visit. Travelers can check schedules and fares and book flights by visiting AA.com. Bookings made on AA.com earn AAdvantage® bonus miles and there is no booking fee. Travel arrangements can also be made by calling American’s reservations number at 1-800-433-7300 (en español 1-800-633-3711) within the United States and Canada.
