2007 A Busy Year For The Biggest Fastest Offshore Race Boats

Super Boat International/APBA Offshore kicked off the 2007 season early when we participated in the Super Bowl pre game events on February 3rd in Hollywood, Florida. It was a Chamber of Commerce day with exciting close racing between the thirty-two boats that competed on the five mile race course.

SBIP/APBA Offshore is honored to return for the third year to the McDonald’s Air & Sea Show to unleash their awesome sleek and fast racing machines. “We are pleased to be here, to have our sport be a part of this terrific weekend. This venue is a spectacular venue that stretches along Fort Lauderdale Beach and provides a weekend packed with exciting action for racing enthusiasts and air show fans,” said John Carbonell, President of SBIP/APBA Offshore.

SBIP/APBA Offshore returns for the 11th year to Deerfield Beach, FL for the “National Championship” race. With ten of our fourteen races in Florida, SBIP/APBA Offshore has now initiated a “Super Boat Florida Championship” in Panama City Beach on October 21st, culminating in Key West, FL for the “27th Annual World Championship” race. This year we are giving the racers an opportunity to win a “Triple Crown”, to win a racer would have to finish first place in all three of the above races, the winner will be determined after the completion of the World Championship race.

There is a very full racing schedule this year with fourteen races scheduled. From the white sand beaches of Key West to the high rises of New York City, SBIP/APBA Offshore is gaining notoriety as a spectator sport everyone can enjoy. The events are held on the beautiful waterfronts of the host cities and with no admission fee, the races have attracted not only the fans but anyone wanting an excuse to spend a day on the water. Families organize picnics with their loved ones, friends meet up for a beach party, company owners organize picnics for their employees, and boat owners get an excuse to take their boats out for a front row seat.
